You may not remember but recently some friends asked me about starting an e-commerce business . I painted it as black as possible. Not to avoid having more possible competitors but because it is the harsh reality. In the end she found a job and they put the idea aside. It is the best thing that has ever happened to her because starting a business out of necessity is never a good option. I have another friend who I gave the same advice to.
I was able to meet up with him recently and talk about it. Despite my advice, he set up his own start-up and is now about to raise a round of 1 million euros. If you start a business despite what they Phone Number List tell you, it means that you have that need to do it that goes beyond the idea of being able to make a lot of money one day. Today I would not start a business without having a stable income as an employee. In the end my situation is similar although I lack the “stable” thing. Freelancing on projects can be a way to finance your life and other things.
It is in my case. I just had a project renewed yesterday so I will be covered until the end of the year it seems. I can't look any further. The leap would only come when your own start-up is already generating relevant amounts of money each month in a stable manner. Even if I was in that situation, I would try to maintain self-employment as a kind of insurance for as long as possible. Starting a business is not easy and it is not very predictable. I have seen both sides. Even if things go well for you today, things could go wrong tomorrow.
